Artistic occupation of an abandoned factory

Today we visited the artists studios at La Escocesa on Pere IV. We used the trip as an opportunity to see another space like Hangar but unlike Hangar, La Escocesa has not been renovated.
The factory was in an amazing state of abandonment and re-appropriation of the space for the artists by the artists. The inside studio spaces were inspiring and we all agreed it was a lovely place to work. We also enjoyed the graffiti and artwork adorning the walls inside and out. The eclectic mix of styles pleased all our indivdual tastes and the rooftop terrace was an unexpected pleasure. The whole space felt less sterile than the digital production spaces of Hangar and it was obvious that the crumbling factory only added to the creative atmosphere of the place.
