The end of week workshop was an interesting and valuable experience where we had the opportunity to present our group work to members of the Taula Eix Pere IV and members of the public. Although slightly nerve-racking presenting to 30 people who live and work in the area, everyone there was engaged and eager to hear our proposals and offer suggestions that would prove vital to our understanding of the area.

For our group, the most valuable part of the evening was the chance to ask questions to the audience. Quite unlike a crit situation, the workshop encouraged our questions and interaction with the community, allowing us to hear personal opinions of the local people.

In addition to our presentation, we had also provided a table with a survey of post-it note questions and answers for people to fill in as the evening progressed. Although a simple idea, the outcome was very successful, allowing us to gather answers to our questions as well as providing a basis for conversation amongst the community.

An interesting insight mimicking the community consultation experienced in practice, this is hopefully an experience that we will can repeat further into our individual projects.
