Tectonics of the O.B.N.I

The majority of the main/primary structure of the O.B.N.I is constructed from metallic temporary fence panels, primarily used during large events to keep the crowds at bay. Various different wheels have been used to ensure it can be wheeled around Poblenou ranging from small inflatable tyres to industrial size casters. These have been mechanically secured to the underside of the fences which make up the primary deck which itself has been created from OSB board. Some of the connections has been welded together whereas other connections have utilised a series of mechanical fixings.

In order to add durability to the O.B.N.I sheet steel has been added to both the lower and upper decks in order to provide a suitable platform for people to walk on. Timber planks have been secured to brackets and run along each side of the O.B.N.I providing seating for individuals whilst it is stationary. The O.B.N.I was built by a collective of artists and shows what can be created when individuals can come together and utilise all their skills in order to produce an objects from other objects within their surroundings
